All checked in!

We have made it to the airport and are currently waiting to board the plane in about an an hour. Our drivers were on time for pick up and loaded all of our items, and it all fit! Check in didn’t go as smooth at the Emirates counter, but God is great and one monkey ain’t stopping this show! I think the woman was new but man was it frustrating. We honestly followed the rules for the airlines and countries visiting and had all our ducks in a row, she was confused on what we needed to enter Kenya and even asked for the kids visa’s (they don’t need them, just Ajali and I). She was also concerned about our prof of vaccination for COVID, yet we did what they had instructed us to do And she ended up letting us go. One great thing she did was direct us to the TSA pre-check/Global Entry line that had zero persons in front of us! I was “randomly” chosen for screening after beeping once going through security.

Did I mention this flight is overbooked? OVERBOOKED???? I thought they only did that here at home lol. They were only allowing economy passengers 1 item to bring

on the plane, while everything else needed to be checked in. Meanwhile, the Chege’s in business class are bringing everything except the kitchen sink lol. There are 600 people on this flight. We will be on the top level and thank goodness the seats lay flat because I think we all are ready for a nap.

We ate an OK breakfast in the lounge and now we are relaxing await to board this A380! Have you ever been on an A380? I think I’m most excited to see Ajali and the girls reaction to flying business class :)
