Find all the stuff!

As we get closer to departure I realize I need to start getting stuff together. When I say "stuff" I'm referring to all the things I've bought or have been given to take with us. I have bought lots of girls and women's underwear, bras, socks, shoes and clothes as well as some men's and boys clothes as well. I have gone through all of our closets and have cleaned them out and will be bringing new clothes that have never been worn and still have tags on them (don't judge us, I'm sure you have some in your closet too!!).

We will be taking these to an orphanage run by a member of our cousins church. I believe that just because some people may have less, it doesn't mean they should necessarily be given "used" items. Trust, I did have decent items I wanted to bring but after reading blogs about people sending and dumping clothes they don't want in Africa and how it makes people feel I decided against it. It makes me feel so good to give, so I hope the recipients like what we bring. I used to extreme coupon, so in case you are wondering, everything that I'm taking I got for little or nothing or it was given to me specifically to take on this trip.

No clue why I had 10 gallon size ziplock bags, but they have come in handy! Here are a couple of the bags I've started. There are 138 pair of women's underwear in this picture, different fits (bikini, brief, boy short and hipster) ranging in sizes XS-4XL. I still have more and will continue organizing and packing this weekend. I took them out of the packaging so they would fit better in the bag. I hope the recipients don't mind.
